CNH, the global leader in agricultural and construction equipment, opened an advanced virtual simulation ecosystem and an automated AutoStore logistics warehouse at its San Matteo research and development hub in Modena on June 13, according to Global Agriculture. The €21 million investment marks a significant modernisation of the facility, which sits at the centre of Emilia-Romagna's engineering tradition.
The simulation technology allows engineers to test designs and manufacturing processes in a digital environment before physical production begins, compressing development timelines and reducing prototyping costs. The automated warehouse system handles parts inventory and dispatch with minimal human intervention, a shift that reflects how Emilia-Romagna's machinery sector is integrating automation into its workflows.
