CNH, the New York-listed manufacturer of agricultural and construction equipment, inaugurated an advanced virtual simulation ecosystem and an automated AutoStore logistics warehouse at its San Matteo research and development hub in Modena on 13 June, according to Global Agriculture. The €21 million investment reflects the company's strategy to compress product development cycles and speed parts delivery across its global operations.
The simulation ecosystem allows engineers to test prototypes and manufacturing processes in a digital environment before physical production, reducing the time and cost of bringing new machinery to market. The automated warehouse uses robotic systems to manage parts inventory and fulfillment, a move that positions Modena—long the epicentre of Italian engineering excellence—as a hub for precision agriculture technology in an era of climate pressure and rising food demand.
